Margaret Parasiliti Terranova
Margaret Parasiliti Terranova, 92, of North Port, Fl., formerly a life long resident of Jamestown, died Monday (January 9, 2012) in North Port.
She was born in Jamestown on May 21, 1919 the daughter of Anthony and Concetta Leto Parasiliti.
She was a 1937 graduate of Jamestown High School and was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church, a member of the Altar & Rosary Society and was very active with the annual St. Joseph Table.
Margaret was a member of the Allen Park Women's Club, a former member of the Gaeta Club and the Morco Polo Auxiliary. She was a volunteer at WCA hospital for forty years.
She is survived by her children, Rita Kaye, Venice, Fl. and Dennis (Christine) Terranova, Melbourne, Fl., five grandchildren, Mary (Julian) Dwyer, Lauderhill, Fl., Susan (Michael) Kilbourne, Columbus, Oh., Anne Karapontso, New Albany, Oh., Nicholas and Timothy Terranova, Melbourne, Fl., three great granddaughters, Abagail Dwyer, Lauderhill, Fl., Kara and Alison Kilbourne, Columbus, Oh., a brother, Anthony (Florence) Parasiliti, Irving, Tx..
She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Terranova whom she married on June 12, 1943 in St. James Catholic Church and who died on October 31, 2000 and by five brothers Robert, Fred, Joseph, Anthony and Carl Parasiliti and by a sister Anne Spera.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor, will be the celebrant.
Entombment will be in Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum.
Friends will be received on Friday 3 to 5 p.m. in the Hubert Funeral Home And Cremation Services.
An Altar & Rosary Society Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. and a Christian Wake Service will be held at 3:00 p.m..
