Antonino "Tony" Colletti, 76, of 41 Sanford Dr., Jamestown, died at 5:50 p.m. Sunday (June 5, 2011) in UPMC Hamot, Erie, Pa.
He was born in Marianopoli, Sicily on January 3, 1935 the son of Salvatore and Salvatrice Sciabbarrosi Colletti.
Tony was the owner and operator of House of Pizza and Tony Colletti's used cars from 1974 to 1994. He was previously employed at Blackstone Corp., Union National and Automatic Voting Machine. Tony was the owner and operator of Checker Cab in Jamestown from 1994 to 2006.He was also a communicant of St. James Catholic Church.
He enjoyed spending holidays with his family and his automobiles.
Tony is survived by his wife Giovanna Picardo Colletti whom he married on January 2, 1965 in Marianopoli, Sicily, a son, Salvatore "Sam" Colletti, Jamestown, two sisters Josephine Colletti and Concetta (Charlie) Russo, Jamestown. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by two brothers Ralph and Gaetano Colletti and a sister Rosalia D. Chiara.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor, will be the celebrant.
Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
