Carmelo Triscari, 80, of 226 Barrows St., Jamestown, died Wednesday (November 30, 2011) in the WCA Hospital. He was born in Tortorici, Sicily on October 27, 1931 the son of Salvatore and Angela Iuculano Triscari and has been a resident of Jamestown since 1959.
Carl was the owner and operator of Triscari's Tailor Shop for fifty years from 1959 to 2009. Prior to coming to Jamestown, he attended Tailor School in Palermo, Sicily.
He was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church, a member of the Marco Polo Club, Italian American Club and a former member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club.
He is survived by his wife Antonina Bevacqua Triscari whom he married on April 25, 1959 in St. James Catholic Church, four sons, Salvatore Triscari, Jamestown,N.Y., Antonino "Tony" (Wendy) Triscari, Greenwich, Ct., Sebastian "Busty"(Sara) Triscari, Centerport , N.Y. and Carmelo "Carl" (Linda) Triscari, Manhattan, N.Y., six grandchildren, Tyler and Andrew Triscari, Greenwich, Ct., Melissa and Carl Triscari, Manhattan, N.Y., Elizabeth and Jon Triscari, Centerport, N.Y..five sisters,Margharita and Lena, Tortorici, Sicily, Sister Carmelina Triscari, Rome, Italy, Maria, Naso, Sicily, Teresa, Torino, Italy. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev, Darrell G. Duffy, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Friday, December 2nd from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 3:00 p.m.
