Concetta Colletti Russo
Concetta Colletti Russo, 68, of 388 South Main St., Jamestown, died Wednesday (February 8, 2012) in Inova Health Systems, Alexandria, Va.. She was born in Marianapoli, Sicily on July 31, 1943 the daughter of Salvatore and Salvatrice Sciabbarrosi Colletti.
Concetta was formerly employed at Sanitary Wiping Cloth, as a housekeeper at the former Jamestown General Hospital and Heritage Park Nursing Home, and also had been employed at Bush Industries.
She was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church.
Concetta enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren.
She enjoyed cooking and was a professional seamstress and loved to make her own clothes.
She is survived by three sons, Bernardo "Dino" (MaryAnn) Russo, Stafford, Va., Salvatore "Sam" Russo, Jamestown and Marco Russo, Falls Church, Va., two grandchildren, Bianca and Carl Russo, Stafford, Va., a sister, Josephine Colletti, Jamestown and her former husband, Calogero "Charlie" Russo, Jamestown.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Gaoitona, Antonio and Raffaele Colletti and a sister Roseilai DiChiara.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012. The Rev. Darrell G. Dufffy, Pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Friday, February 17, 2012 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services where a prayer service will be held at 4:00 p.m.
