Daniel "Papa Bingo" R. King Jr.,
Daniel "Papa Bingo" R. King Jr., 78, of Jamestown, died at 4:30 p.m. Thursday (February 16, 2012) in the WCA Hospital.
He was born in Harrisburg, Pa. on July 29, 1933 the son of Daniel R. and Ruby Crocker King, Sr..
Dan was employed by the City of Jamestown in the sanitation department for thirty two years, retiring in 1986. He then was employed at Kingsview Enterprises Inc. for six years. He served with the US Army form 1953 to 1956 and was a member of the IOOF in Falconer.
Dan loved to play bingo, model trains, fishing and cheering for his favorite baseball team (Chicago Cubs) and his favorite football team (Cleveland Browns).
He is survived by two sons, Daniel King III and Michael (Michelle) King, daughter, Ruby (Bill) Warner and his mother in law, Alice Baggiano, Jamestown; thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two brothers, Robert ( Mary Lou) and Ralph (Ricky) King, Sinclairville, three sisters, Lillian (Ronald) Arnold, Ellery Center, Sandra (Buzz) Betker, Gowanda, N.Y. and Alberta (Roy) Warner, Jamestown.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ashley Warner, a brother, Edward King, a sister, Linda Macri and a daughter in law, Cindy King.
The funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2012 in the Hubert Funeral Home And Cremation Services. The Rev. James Mohoney, Pastor of Living Waters Open Bible Church, will officiate. Internment will be in Lake View Cemetery.
