Evelyn McCray Bullock Julin
Evelyn McCray Bullock Julin died in her home at 1655 Martin Road, Jamestown, New York on Friday, January 22, 2011 at 8:30 a.m.
Evelyn was born on April 24, 1925 in Fairview, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Neil R. McCray and Helen Rapp McCray. Evelyn graduated from Celoron High School in 1943 and the Delaware Hospital School of Nursing in 1946. Evelyn married Burdette C. Julin in Jamestown, New York on February 22, 1958.
Evelyn is survived by one brother, Alfred (Jane) McCray of San Diego, California and Jamestown, New York. Burdette and Evelyn were the parents to a blended family, the Bullock and Julin children. Evelyn is survived by Natalie Bullock (John) Larson of Lily Dale, New York, Patricia Bullock (David) Hey of Aiken, South Carolina, Nathan (Lorraine) Bullock of Dania Beach, Florida, and Marcia Bullock of Dania Beach, Florida. She is also survived by Bruce (Gwen) Julin of DeTour, Michigan, Linda Julin (Thom) Travis of Modesto, California, and Beth Julin Trask of Washington, New Jersey. In addition to their blended family, Evelyn is survived by Burdette and Evelyn’s daughter, Lori Julin (Tim) Galster of Jamestown, New York. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Burdette C. Julin. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Neil O. McCray and George J. McCray and one grandson, Brett A. Landy.
Evelyn and her family would like to thank Hospice for enabling her wish to be at home to say goodbye to friends, be surrounded by family, and to be with her “precious” dog Autobahn.
A memorial service will be officiated by James Boughton at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Martin Road, Jamestown, New York on Sunday, January 23, 2011 at 4:30 p.m.
