George Lamonica
George Lamonica, 78, of 66 Brookside Estates, Jamestown, died at 10:10 p.m. Monday (August 8, 2011) in WCA Hospital.
He was born on August 31, 1932 in Jamestown, the son of Samuel Lamonica and Mary Dolce McLernon.
George was employed as an inspector at Marlin Rockwell for over thirty years, retiring in 1997.
Survivors include three daughters Kathy Roberts, Derwood, Md., Kim Kestler, Jacksonville, Fl and Julie Brown, Jamestown, a son George Lamonica Jr., Las Vegas, NV., six grandchildren, Melissa Burnett and Todd Bloomberg, Jamestown, Alec Lamonica, Chicage, Il., Lisa Kestler, Jacksonville, Fl., David Bloomberg and Dr. Amanda Emo, Derwood, Md., four great-grandchildren, and his companion Sherry Richards, Jamestown.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Alec McLernon.
A private family graveside service will be held at Lake View Cemetery.
Visitation will not be observed.
