Jennie "Jay" Saullo DePasquale
Jennie "Jay" Saullo DePasquale, 88, of Heritage Green Rehab & Skilled Nursing Facility, formerly of 304 Foote Ave., Jamestown, died at 12:50 a.m. Tuesday (July 5, 2011) in the nursing facility.
She was born in DeLance, Pa. on February 27, 1923 the daughter of Vincent and Mary Morganti Saullo.
Jennie was employed at the former National Worsted Mills.
She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially strawberry rhubarb pie, and sewing.
She is survived by a son Daniel (Wendy) C. DePasquale, Falconer, a daughter Joanne (William) Lucas, Frewsburg, six grandchildren Christina (Nathan) Marsh, Kennedy, N.Y., Shawn W. Lucas, Jamestown, Jennifer DePasquale, Lakewood, N.Y., Daniel J. and Karsen and Carisa DePasquale, Falconer, N.Y., eight great grandchildren Dylan Marsh, Buffalo, N.Y., Dalton, Dallas and Drake Marsh, Kennedy, N.Y., Victoria, Alexander, Maxwel and Abigail Lucas, Jamestown, three sisters Mary Warden, Jamestown, Della Griffen, Westfield, N.Y. and Ester Varvell, California.
She was preceded in death by her husband Christopher F.DePasquale whom she married on June 2, 1945 in Calvary Assembly of God Church and who died on June 14, 2003 and by a grandson Cameron DePasquale, two sisters Angeline Saullo and Josephine Myrick and two brothers Jasper and Jake Saullo.
A private family graveside service will be held at Lake View Cemetery.
Visitation will not be observed.
