Joseph C. Tobias
Joseph C. Tobias, 78, of 9 Roland Rd., Jamestownn, died at 10:20 a.m. Monday (April 4, 2011) in the Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Home.
He was born in Clearfield, Pa. on April 4, 1933 the son of James and Mae Bloom Tobias.
Joe was employed as a machinist at Adanlock for over thirty five years, retiring in 1992. He served with the US Air Force during the Korean War and attended the Jamestown Community Chapel.
He is survived by two sons Joel (Theresa) Tobias and Troy Tobias, Jamestown, two step sons Gerald (Sharon) Reed and Craig (Lisa) Reed, Jamestown, three step daughters Diane (Tom) Kubista, Curwensville, Pa., Linda (Launce) Soult and Joanne (Ron) Lykens, DuBois, Pa., fifteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and a sister.
He was preceded in death by his wife Betty A. Tobias whom he married on November 25, 1965 in Rossiter, Pa. and who died on July 18, 2010 and by several brothers and sisters.
A private family service will be held at the Hubert Funeral Home And Cremation Services. The Rev. Dan Keefe, pastor of the Jamestown Community Chapel, will officiate. Inurnment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will not be observed.
