Joseph S. Bellomo, Jr.
Joseph S. Bellomo Jr., 90, of Buffalo St. Ext., died at 7:45 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2011, in the WCA Hospital, Jamestown, NY. He was born in Jamestown on October 12, 1920, the son of Joseph Sr. and Mary Triglia Bellomo. Joe was a 1940 graduate of Jamestown High School and was employed as a machinist at Marlin Rockwell for forty two years, retiring in 1982.
Joseph was a Communicant of St. James Catholic Church. He was a member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club and Frewsburg American Legion. He was an avid gardener.
He is survived by his wife Carmela Caprino Bellomo, whom he married on August 23, 1941 in St. James Catholic Church. He is also survived by two sons, Joseph (Lynn) and Anthony (Betty) Bellomo, Jamestown, four grandchildren Jeffrey, James & Kimberly Bellomo, Jamestown, and Jonathan Bellomo, San Diege, Ca.. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Bellomo and Joseph Sparcino, and by several brothers and sisters, and nieces and nephews in Delaware.
