Martha Jeffery Guido, 72, of 1607 West Third St., Jamestown, died at 10:20 a.m. Thursday (June 16, 2011) at her residence.
She was born in Jamestown on March 17, 1939 the daughter of John Edwin and Georgia Hassler Jeffery.
Martha attended Jamestown High School and was employed in the clothing department at the former Bigelow's Department Store and she also worked at the Hotel Jamestown.
Her family was very important to her and she loved raising her two sons. She was compassionate, kind and thoughtful and was always considerate for those less fortunate.
She loved animals and was the happiest with one of her pets at her side.
Martha is survived by two sons, Paul Guido, Jamestown and Daniel Ross Guido, Tucson, Az., two sisters, Georgia Anderson, Ormond Beach, Fl. and Laura LaBarbera, Columbus, Oh.. Several nieceas and nephews, who were dear to her, also survive as do many of her loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her former husband Ross J. Guido, who died on January 7, 2011, two brothers Daniel and Tom Jeffery and her twin sister Marion Ditonto.
